A considered exhibition or competition proposal

An original editorial perspective on keeping an international professional exchange useful and attributable.

ILLUSTRATIVE PHOTOGRAPHY / A STARTING POINT FOR DISCUSSION

Describe the theme, audience and material a proposed artistic activity would involve. Identify who could authorise a contribution and how selection, attribution and image use might be handled.

No competition, judge, award, ticket or date is confirmed by a proposal. Actual activity needs approved rules, operating responsibility, permissions, fees where relevant and a clear concern-handling process.

Questions to take forward

  1. What is the proposed artistic question?
  2. Who has actually agreed to participate?
  3. What rules and permissions still need review?

A useful exchange record

Keep the original reference, your contribution and the agreed discussion scope together. Attribute any feedback. Record what was actually agreed and leave unconfirmed arrangements open for review.

Before sharing the outcome

Check who can authorise the work, the photograph and any identifying information. An invitation to discuss a study does not automatically authorise publication, translation, promotion or reuse.
